If you have never climbed before or need a refresher, start here. Come join the ROE staff for a fun day of On the Rock and introduce yourself to the world of rock climbing with an emphasis on safety, learning, and fun. We’ll start out on moderate, low-angle rock to help you get the feel for vertical movement, then progress at your pace to similar or more difficult routes. Thorough instruction & practice students learn the basic fundamental skills of belaying, tying in, and lowering. Our goal is to help you understand the basics of vertical rock climbing so you can feel comfortable climbing at a local gym, tagging along with friends, or joining us for move advanced climbing trips.
